How it works

What is CO2 laser scar removal?

CO2 laser scar removal is an advanced way to minimise scarring and scar tissue. Using the latest technology, the 3D Vjuve laser from 3D Aesthetics, we can improve the appearance of scars and offer a solution to other aesthetic concerns such as wrinkles and pigmentation.

How does the CO2 laser scar removal work?

3D Vjuve uses CO2 technology to deliver superficial energy into the skin, creating tiny white bloated dots of heat-stimulated tissue through the skin layers. This results in an inflammatory response that stimulates new collagen and elastin production to tighten the skin and smooth out the acne scars. The treatment can be complemented with LED therapy to help regenerate the cells.

Skin concerns that we can target with CO2 laser treatment:

  • Pitting of the skin
  • Pigmentation
  • Enlarged pores
  • Premature ageing
  • Sun-damaged skin
  • Lines and wrinkles
  • Dull complexion
  • Stretch marks
  • Loose skin

Recommended aftercare

Your therapists will recommend the appropriate skin care for you during your 3D Vjuve treatments to hydrate and moisturise your skin. An SPF of 30+ will need to be applied daily. Exfoliation treatments are not recommended for four weeks after a 3D Vjuve treatment.
